The History of the Website

Windows Update V3.1 looks like more of an upgrade from V3.1/V3.0, but with a new logo and some minor other differences. Compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0/5.5/6.0, version 3.1 of Windows Update is the last version of the service to support Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0. Newer Windows Update websites will require at least Windows 98 First Edition, and later on, Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3.

Known Issues

Windows Update Restored V3.1 terribly lacks inventories, making lots of languages throwing the "Cannot Display Page" error. If you think you have the necessary inventories (not updates) for your language, please let us know!
Those inventories are located in C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate.
